Hi Support,

Please advise radiation report for LP2953QML-SP.

Would like to know the radiation threshold of SEL, SET and TID.

Thanks.

  • Hi Ikon,

We do not offer a radiation qualified version of the LP2953 and do not have a radiation report published.

In our internal testing, we have should the part to fail somewhere in the 10 to 30 krad range.   We do our testing under worst case conditions.   Others have reported that it has passed 30 krad, but my speculation is that the part was not tested under worst case conditions.  It is highly dependent upon the operating conditions what radiation level the part will survive.

We have not preformed heavy ion tested, but since this is a bipolar product, SEL would be unexpected.   Others have done heavy ion testing on the part, but we do not have license to provide that information.

TID and SEE test results on the part done by others can be found with an internet search.  It is important to note that the TID and SEU/SET response of analog products, especially products like LDOs with wide operating ranges, is highly dependent upon the operating conditions.
