SMJ320F240: JTAG Hardware/Software to Load Code

Is there anyone who provides hardware/software for loading code onto the F24x series of TI DSPs that can operate on Windows 7 or newer?

I've previously used Spectrum Digital's XDS510PP hardware and TI's prg2xx command line tool.  However, this toolset does not support anything more current than Windows XP.

  • Josh, I am not aware of any other solutions.
Have you tried using virtual machine with windows XP? I think this can be challenging to set up, but I have heard of success with getting older emulators running on newer OS. Your IT department may not allow it on network due to security risk of old OS.

  • Thanks for the response Wade.

I'm an integrator and have used both virtualized systems and downgraded systems if push comes to shove.  I just wanted to be sure there wasn't anyone else out there with JTAG emulation hardware for this device before I went down that path.
