SN55115: Datasheet Interpretation

Part Number: SN55115

Hello all,

Can you please help me by answering the following question about the schematic on page 3 ( Common to Both Receivers) of the SN55115 datasheet?

1) What does the upside down triangle with the V inside mean?

  • Daniel, this is interesting question.
I searched, and asked several people. No body has seen this prior.
However, I believe it is a intra-schematic node reference for power. Ie, it is tied to VCC, and represents VCC throughout the schematic.
If you notice, the ground symbol is treated exactly the same way. Tied once to label GND, then throughout the schematic.
Not sure where else to check. It may be someones non-standard way of representing VCC.
This datasheet dates back to 1973.
