DS26C32AMQML: Whether this part number is alternative of National semiconductor IC Part no DS26C32AMJ883

Part Number: DS26C32AMQML
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS26F32MQML, , DS26LS32MQML

Hi,

Can you please confirm whether the above part number is alternative of National semiconductor IC Part no DS26C32AMJ883 and also suggest any other alternative of texas instruments device. Also can you provide the longevity details of the part no

a) DS26F32MQML

b) DS26C32AMQML

  • DS26C32AMQML is the generic product number, product folder and datasheet for the mil grade DS26C32A. It covers the, DS26C32AMJ/883 which is the specific part number for the mil grade DS26C32A in a CDIP package.

If you want a mil grade quad CMOS RS-422 receiver in a CDIP then this is the correct part number. If you need something different, let me know.

The product longeviity details can be found in the Quality & packaging page of the product folder DS26C32AMQML or DS26F32MQML on ti.com
  • I want to know whether DS26F32MQML is also mil grade DS26C32A in a CDIP package and would also like to know till how many years this product will be in production. Also want to know the End of life of DS26C32AMQML
  • The DS26F32 and DS26C32 are both quad RS-422 receivers and are pin compatible with each other.

However, the DS26C32 is a CMOS product and the DS26F32 is a bipolar part. Being a CMOS product, the DS26C32 is lower power, but does not have as wide of a input differential and common mode range as the DS26F32.

We currently do not offer a mil grade version of the DS26F32 in a CDIP. If you need a bipolar RS-422 in a CDIP with the wider input ranges, we do have the mil grade DS26LS32MQML, part number DS26LS32MJ/883 and SMD number 5962-7802006QEA. It is not quite as fast as the DS26F32 and uses more power, but it does meet the RS-422 standards.

  • I forgot to add that there are no plans to obsolete any of these products.
