Hi

In the datasheet 2.4kohms is recommended from adj pin. Can we use any value? is there any restriction on this?

    Hi Indu,

    As highlighted in the datasheet using a 2.4kohm resistor from adj pin to out pin ensures that one meets the min load requirement of 500uA. However one can use other values for R2 and using equation # 1 can achieve other output values to meet your system needs.
    Main thing to be concerned would be to ensure that you are meeting or exceeding the min load current as specified in section 8.2.2.3 of datasheet.
