Our group "High Reliability" only has the THS788/789 TMUs within it. We do not have plans for new TMUs.
You can check the Ultrasonic forum, as they have some time of flight devices as well.

The THS788 will be available and shipping for foreseeable future. The NRND status is due to the lack of in-depth design knowledge to support this device. The design team that created was disbanded many years ago. If you are comfortable with the device performance and usage, then there should not be a reason to move away from it. There is not a source of supply issue.
