TPS40200-EP: Convert TPS40200EVM-002 to a all Ceramic Capacitor EP product.

Hi.

We are happy with the TPS40200EVM-002.

We only need to change the Output - to be fixed at 5V 1A - With all Ceramic output Caps.

(As is used in PMP7154 :     Output  5V 1A  using only 2x 100μF 6.3V Ceramic output caps.)

Must also change the TPS40200EVM-002's Input Electrolytic Cap - to a Ceramic Cap.

Will use the TPS40200-EP or -HT Chip.

What can we use (or do) to make these few changes?

SwitcherPro™  and WEBENCH® Design Center - might be a to much work - to implement these few changes.

Anybody that can do these few changes?

    Hello Conroy,

    I believe you will have to use one of these tools to implement the changes. Alternatively you could use the provided schematic and  BOM to recreate the board using the PCB tool of your choice.

    While you plan to use the -EP or -HT version of the part to evaluate, I will check with our other team who supports the regular version (and this EVM) to see if they have any other ideas. Obviously the EVM will not be designed for the same temperature ranges as the -EP or -HT parts themselves.

    I have found the original schematic and PCB documents. I can send those to you via email if you would like. Please provide me your email via a direct message so I can send them to you. Remember, the board may need to be further adapted to your needs than just changing component values.
