Buzzer for bq500211a

Hi,

May I know what is the maximum current of BUZ_AC and BUZ_DC can be supplied to drive the buzzer ?

I face problem with my board that the BUZ_AC pin keep on generating the pulse signal with amplitude of about 150mV

even there is no receiver put on it. So I can hear the audible sound from the buzzer.

I used a mosfet to drive the buzzer instead of directly connect to the pin.

What is the purpose of 10K resistor connected from BUZ_AC to GND ?

I don't have this resistor in my design.

Thanks.

  • Q1 -- May I know what is the maximum current of BUZ_AC and BUZ_DC can be supplied to drive the buzzer ?

    A1 – 4mA

Q2 -- What is the purpose of 10K resistor connected from BUZ_AC to GND ?

A2 – The bq500211AEVM-210 has a 10k resisotor (R45) across the Buzzer.  This is used to reduce noise on the buzzer during standby mode.
