SN74LVC245A: LEVEL TRANSLATOR FOR COMUNICATION SPI BETWEEN 3V AND 3.3V

Part Number: SN74LVC245A

Hi team,

Are there any concern to use level translator for SPI communication between 3V and 3.3V ?

Thank you and best regards,

Michiaki

  • Michiaki,

There wouldn't be a concern besides having an extra unneeded device and the power and price that comes with adding any device to your system. Is there a reason for needing this or are you concerned that the 3V wouldn't be seen as a high signal on the 3.3V side?
You shouldn't need a translator for this. At 3V your 3.3V system should still register a high.

    Thanks,
    Rami
