TXB0102: Can Input voltage be higher than Vcc?

Part Number: TXB0102
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC2G17

Hello,

I have a board with an input buffer (TXB0102YZPR). Vccb=3.3V and Vcca=1.8V. My question is: can I apply an input signal that is 5V to the "B" input port? It is within the absolute maximum ratings (-0.5V to 6.5V).  However, under "Recommended Operating Conditions" for Vih, the input range is listed as Vcci*0.65 to a maximum of Vcci. Since Vcci (Vccb in my case) is 3.3, will there be any problems with a 5V input?

Thanks,

Jim
