TXS0108E: TXS0108E

Part Number: TXS0108E

Hi,

Customer query of the value of pull up resistor.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are testing a new board requiring a level translator for communications between two systems: one powered by 3.3V and another powered by 5V.

In this circuit we have considered a TXB010PWR from TI. During our tests, we found some issues. From micro side A perspective, if we change the pin state from high to low, we do not see the expected behavior in the micro side B. We analyzed the datasheet and found that this component is not suitable for driving low impedances (more than 50K external pull up is required):

We have since looked at TXS0108E and it seems this could be a better suited part.

Could you please confirm that this part (TXS0108) is suitable to drive an external 1.6K Ohm to low?

Thanks

Jani
