TXB0104-Q1: Level shift function not work properly

Part Number: TXB0104-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AXC4T245-Q1, SN74AXC4T774-Q1

Hi team

I have encountered a issue that:

Customer said that they have tested the TP1980 / TP1981 / R2046 / R2047 and TP1980 is High (3.3V), TP1981 is low(0.07V), MCU has sent the sleep request signal to level shifter while the level shifter output to SoC is still low voltage level so SoC did not receive the sleep request signal and do not enter in the sleep mode. I have told customer to check other channels or OE pin whether there is also function issue, could you please help to look into this issue since it is very urgent? Thank you.

  • This schematic does not show what is connected to the eight I/O pins.

The most common problem with the TXB is that the input driver or output load requirements are not met (see section 8.3 of the datasheet).

Using the TXB is a good idea only if you actually have bidirectional signals. If the signals each go in fixed direction, a direction-controlled translator like the SN74AXC4T245-Q1 or SN74AXC4T774-Q1 would be simpler, more robust, and cheaper.
