SN74AXCH8T245: SN74AXC8T245、SN74AXCH8T245 support 380Mbps data rate?

Hi Team,

Issue background: 1.8v -3.3v translation RGMII buffer which works well at 100Mbps but fail at the 1000Mbps with part SN74AVC8T245 . Now we are question about whether  SN74AXC8T245、SN74AXCH8T245 could support this.

I have questions for the SN74AXC8T245、SN74AXCH8T245 RGMII interface implementation:

  1. SN74AXCH8T245 support 380Mbps data rate. What's the maximum signal frequency which is supported by  SN74AXCH8T245? I mean how many Mhz it support with 380Mbps?
  2. I have above question because it mention that for 125Mhz RGMII application in the link below, SN74AXC8T245、SN74AXCH8T245 seem make sense for it. But if RGMII run at 1000Mbps,  how could it support by 380Mbps part?

3. And I notice the comments like in other E2E post in the below. I am confusing what's the criteria for RGMII application. Could you help me to clarify it?

I'm not aware of any device in TI that guarantees full support of RGMII. These timing requirements are pretty strict for most level shifters so in general it may be tough to find a device. However, I can say from experience others have been able to implement this device as well as the older SN74AVC8T245 device for RGMII applications.
