SN74AHCT1G125: Short between Pins 3 and 4

We use SN74AHCT1G125 on several of our boards. We are seeing a short between pins 3 and 4. Have you seen this before? What could cause this?

Can you give a little bit information? A schematic of your circuit and some oscilloscope shots of the mentioned behavior will help.

For now, what could cause the output to read zero ohms to pin 3 (ground)?

Hi Eric,

One possible issue is damage to the ESD diode between the output and GND could cause a short to ground.
