SN74AUP1G08-Q1: input voltage is larger than VCC

Part Number: SN74AUP1G08-Q1

Dear team,

My customer uses A pin to connect 1.8V signal, and B pin to connect 3.3V signal while their VCC is 1.8V. Is it ok?

Our input support 3.6V, so it should be ok in my understanding. But I am not sure whether it has bad impact. Could you please help analyze the bad impact?

Hi Sherry,

The recommended input voltage range of the device is 0 to 3.6V:

3.3V is less than 3.6V, so it is within the recommended range. There is no issue.

Hi Emrys,

Is there a diode between A/B pin and VCC? If so, there will be reverse current flowing back into the VCC in my understanding, is it ok?

There is no such diode. See [FAQ] Can the input voltage (Vi) to my logic device be higher than the supply voltage (Vcc)?
