SN74LVC1G32: SN74LVC1G32DSFR

Part Number: SN74LVC1G32

What is the difference between SN74LVC1G32DSFR and SN74LVC1G32DSF2? I show the lead finish is different between the 2 but both are 5K reels. Does this means there are 2 different build locations? Is there a performance difference between the two?

Thanks,
Mary

  • Hi Mary,

The differences are a bit buried in the package materials information section:

As you can see - the orientation of the device in the reel is the only difference.

If you have a concern that a part may have differing specs based on the package or some designator, the best solution is to search the datasheet using the "Find" feature:

Since there are only 3 mentions of DSF2 in the datasheet, it makes it fairly easy to review each.

You will find that there are no direct mentions of this package variant in the device's specifications, and thus it has no impact on the operation of the device.

  • Hi ~ thank you very much for the quick response. I did notice the polarity in the reel was also different but my main concern would be the difference in lead finish. If the factory location is different that one is only NiPdAu and the other is NiPdAuAg/NiPdAu

  • Actually, one site would use NiPdAu lead finish (for both orientations), and the other, NiPdAuAg.

  • Right - however I wouldn't expect any notable difference from the change in leadframe material.
