The Δt/Δv limit. In other words, use the SN74HCS04 instead.

Hi Mathew,

As Clemens stated with the SN74HC04 you must meet Δt/Δv requirements. The SN74HCS04 is better suited for this application, it has Schmitt Trigger inputs that have no input transition requirements. The output response will also have a much cleaner signal.
