TXB0106-Q1: Has the same die with TXB0106?

Genius 13989 points
Part Number: TXB0106-Q1

Hi Experts,

Good day.

We would like to ask your confirmation if the automotive version has the same die with its commercial variant.

Also, we know that automotive has high reliability for zero defects, as such should we assume that TXB0106IPWRQ1 used in a non- AEC-Q100 environment will have the same ESD protection as TXB0106PWR?

Thank you very much.

Regards,
Archie A.

  • Hi Archie,

The die names are different, indicating different dies. However, the die sizes are similar.

Please help refer to the two datasheets indicating differences in their ESD protection specs, thanks.

    Bes Regards,

    Michael.

  • Hello Michael,

    Thank you for the info.

Follow up question: The D/S of catalog version shows that its automotive variant is a qualified alternate when there is differences in ESD capabilities?

    Regards,
    Archie A.

  • Hi Archie,

The automotive devices are qualified based on AEC standards while the commercial devices are not. Please also note that the auto device meets the standard for the AEC requirements, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.

  • Hello Michael,

    Thanks.

Please also note that the auto device meets the standard for the AEC requirements

Yes, of course automotive meets AEC requirements set.

The customer is trying to ask deeper about the ESD response of automotive device when used in commercial application. They would like to be sure that TXB0106IPWRQ1 would behave the same way as TXB0106PWR(currently using) - since they're using different die.

Can you comment please on this?

    Thank you very much.

    Regards,
    Archie A.

  • Hi Archie,

The customer can use the device in their application for similar functionalities; however, we do not recommend to use outside specification shown in the datasheets as they both have different ESD specs and may not be responding the same way outside the recommended limits, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.
