There is a good new that we DIN TI TXS0108E-Q1!

The end application is Automatic Parking sensor!

Cause the io port on the ECU side is not enough, so need level shift to provide the same voltage.

Following question need your help,

1. What is the design difference between Open-Drain and Push-Pull design ?

2.It seems most of the designers to promote the design of open draina and why not promote push pull?

3.What is the function of the "OE pin" and what should be considered when designing?

Why did you choose the TXS? Auto-bidirectional translators have many restrictions. For fixed-direction signals, you should use the TXU0104-Q1/TXU0204-Q1/TXU0304-Q1, or a direction-controlled translator like the SN74AXC8T245-Q1/SN74LXC8T245-Q1.

Please specify the voltage, speed, and direction of all signals.

1. See [FAQ] What's the difference between logic output types (push-pull, open-drain, 3-state)? The TXS accepts both as input, but its output always are open drain.

2. Open-drain signals allow the passive switch architecture of the TXS to be used for level shifting. The largest drawback is that a passive switch has no drive strength.

3. The OE pin can disable the device.
