SN74HCS14: BUS Hold circuit

The front of gates is Turbidity sensor with floating output. Would you recommend bus hold buffers solution?

Does that sensor have an analog or digital output? In the first case, you need to use a comparator instead.

Yes, if you want to keep the last state of a disabled digital signal, use a bus-hold device.

(In you wanted to get a fixed value instead, you'd use a pull-up or -down resistor.)

How many channels do you have? With a single channel, it would be easier to build a discrete bus-hold circuit.

Do you need an inverter or a buffer?

Single channel and Inverter. 

Currently, they are suing 3ch inverter, 74HC14D to build bus hold circuit but they would like to simplify the schematic. 

So they request 1ch inverter with bus hold circuit or 1 bus hold buffer + 1 Schmitt-trigger input inverter.
