I would like to know what TI recommendation is for the production date and usage of this SN74LVC14AQDRG4Q1
Hex Schmitt-Trigger. My distributor has parts from Date code: 15/40. We normally purchase components less then 4 years. Does TI have a reliability study for older parts?

Hi Diederick,

Our parts are tested when new, at production in all cases -- we don't hold on to inventory to test decades after production (I've never heard of this for any product -- does anyone do this?).

The closest thing you'll find is the HTOL test in which the parts are 'torture tested' with high temperatures (150C) for 1000 hrs to simulate a much longer operation at normal temperatures.
