The application report Logic in Live-Insertion Applications With a Focus on GTLP defines four isolation levels, 0 to 3.

The SN74AVC4T245 implements level 1 (partial power down), and can match level 2 (hot insertion) if /OE is pulled high. It does not implement level 3 (live insertion).
