SN74AHC1G125: Higher VIL threshold at VCC=3.3V

Hi Team,

My customer needs a buffer device which has higher VIL threshold compared to the SN74AHC1G125. They're looking for 1.8V at Vcc = 3.3V. Is there any device with this specification?

  • A VIL threshold of somewhere between 25 % and 35 % is standard for all CMOS devices (except for some level shifters with even lower thresholds).

    Devices with open-drain output could be run with a higher VCC, but I guess they would not be suitable for this buffer application. It might be possible to use a level shifter (e.g., TXU0101) with a higher VCC at the input, but I guess the VIH would be too high.

    The best way to handle a custom switching threshold (or signals that are not near the rails) is with a comparator, e.g., TLV7011.
