SN74LVC1G11: Voltage output

Hi Team,

I want to confirm this SN74LVC1G11 circuitry (attached), whether we can feed input grater than 1.8V supply voltage. My expectation is output high will be 1.8V logic.

As per datasheet we can provide 6.5V input, and supply voltage min required is 1.65 and in that case out will be 1.65 logic.

    Hi Marvin,

    Yes, you are correct. As long as the input is greater than the V_IH and less than the absolute maximum rating, the input will be detected as 'high.'

    One caution is to keep an eye on the V_IL levels -- when operating with a 1.8-V supply, the V_IL value will be quite low (0.63V), so it may conflict with some 3.3V or 5V V_OL levels.
