SN54ALS244C-SP: bi-directional buffer

Part Number: SN54ALS244C-SP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0304

Hi,

Customer would like to use buffer in QSPI and frequency is 133MHz.

it communicates bi-direction and user don't know when data direction is changed.

Can this buffer be adopted for QSPI with 2 device with input and output short?

If not, could you recommend the device for this application as space grade?

Thanks.

  • Bidirectional signals cannot be buffered because the device cannot know which of the two signals should override the other. (There are auto-bidirectional translators like the TXB0304, but they require the other devices to have more drive strength than their own outputs, i.e., they are worse than no buffer.)
