TXU0304: Propagation Delay Time

Dear, Support Team.

In the table of 7.9 Switching Characteristics, VCCA = 1.8 ± 0.15 V in the datasheet, there is a description of MIN 0.5ns MAX 15ns for tpd (Propagation delay time).
Is the MIN to MAX width of this Propagation delay dominated by changes due to the temperature of Test Condition -40°C to 85°C?
Or is the Propagation delay changing due to another condition?

It is probably affected by temperature for a single device, and by manufacturing variations between multuple devices. But this is neither documented nor guaranteed.

If you want to know the output skew, see section 7.6.

Hello Hioraki,

Similar to what Clemens commented, temperature and manufacturing variations can be contributing to the increase in propagation delay.

Even though we don't document what parameters/factors dominate propagation delay, we do guarantee a max delay of 15ns when running at 125ºC.

Thank you for your answers.

When the propagation delay is 30nsec, it corresponds to half clk of a 16.6MHz clock, so is it correct to understand that the TXU0304 is not suitable for use in SPI with a frequency exceeding 16MHz?

Section 7.6 specifies the guaranteed data rate; for 1.8 V to 3.3 V, it's 100 Mbps = 50 MHz.
