CD74HC4017: Safe operating clock frequency range at 3.3V supply voltage?

At the CD74HC4017 datasheet, the maximum operating frequency is documented only for 2,4.5 and 6v. if we use the chip in 3.3v circuit, can CD74HC4017 operate normally with 20MHz input clock frequency at -40-+85 temperature range?

Hi Saeid,

Please see this FAQ for information on estimating datasheet values. Using linear interpolation, we can estimate the max clock frequency for 3.3V at -40 to 85 to be 20.6MHz. This gives good evidence that this should work just fine.

Actually, i want to reduce 20Mhz clock to 2Mhz and planned to using this chip as a frequency divider and doubt about input clock range for 3.3v supply voltage.
