Dear Support,

I am using SN74LVC1G04, 5V VCC, input 3.3V, output is 0.3V connected to ground through a 11K resistor. I measured 0.3V on the output of the gate. is this normal to this chip. I expect a voltage very close to 0V.

Hi David,

That sounds about right. You are violating the VIH/VIL specs for this device. 3.3V is above VIL max and below VIH min and is for all intents and purposes a floating voltage at the input. Output behavior won't be strictly defined at this voltage.
