SN74HC74: SN74HC74DR Different internal structure

Hi

For this product, we made X-ray irradiation on the physical products with date code 2334 and 2308 and origin: Mexico and China respectively, and found that the internal structure was inconsistent.

Could you please help to confirm the cause and whether the performance and parameters of the product are affected?

    The SN74HCD74DR has two different assembly sites, so it is likely that you see two different lead frames. Both devices are guaranteed to be within the datasheet limits.

    PCN#20200629000.1A describes the introduction of a completely new die (with some changed typical parameters). But the lead frame is not a reliable way to detect this; you'd see this only by the new die having a smaller size.
