I understand that, however adding a 1-8 and an alpha numeric, aside from pin names seems to be unintentional, and could create confusion.
Hi Justin,
We don't control the numbering on the package information page. That's auto-populated with every datasheet. On the first page I think the numbering scheme actually works quite well with keeping things clear as to how the pins are ordered and oriented on the device between packages.
