Hello ,

SN74LVC1G06 has open drain output and there is no pull up

The datasheet states that the tr and tf is <= 2.5 nS , I want to connect external load to IBIS model to verify its rise and fall time with datasheet

but while simulating i obseved that the rise time is changing when i change the pull up resistor value which we connect externally .

please help me to understand this

The datasheet does not specify t_r or t_f of this inverter. The values in section 7 are the rise/fall time of the input signal.

The propagation delay is measured with a voltage divider. A simple pull-up of R_L/2 = 250 Ω should behave the same.

The rise time changes because the load capacitance is (dis)charged through the resistor. Essentially, you have an R-C low-pass filter.

Hi Shweta,

This FAQ describes how to find the output transition time of logic devices. As Clemens said, we don't include it in the datasheet because it is so heavily dependent on the customer system.
