Both the data sheet and website incorrectly show the data path from the "A" pins to the "Y" pins with an inversion, but the correct drawings should not have the inversion "dot" on these paths. It is only the Output-Enable pins that are inverted. It is the SN74AC240 that inverts the data path, not the SN74AC244.
The non-automotive version data sheet is correct.
