SN74AUC125: Do we have higher driving current buffer solution at 1.1V input voltage?

Hi team,

My customer need buffer solution that support 1.25V VCC voltage.

But they need higher driving current in their application.

In datasheet, this device's output current is only 3mA when Vcc=1.1V.

I double check our all solutions and don't find higher current, please advise.

Only AUC and the weaker AUP work at such low voltages.

To increase the drive strength, use multiple outputs in parallel. Alternatively, drive a discrete MOSFET. (What is the load?)

The buffer would like to drive 8 pcs parallel Beam-forming IC and interface is SPI bus. The BFIC is only accpet 1.25V voltage. Therefore, it can't increase voltage level. In addition, the layout trace from buffer to last BFIC around 250mm length. We afraid currently 1.25V voltage level that driving ability can appear very worse in SI quality. May I learn what you meaning about "use multiple outputs in parallel"? Can you use a picture to show us?

AUC outputs change impedance during transistions to improve SI; see section 2.1 of the AUC application report. It is likely that a single output will work fine. If you have doubts about the trace length, insert another AUC buffer in the middle of the trace.

You could just connect multiple buffer outputs in parallel; see [FAQ] Can I connect two outputs from a CMOS logic device together directly? But note that AUC outputs are already optimized for the typical trace impedance; this would no longer be true for paralleled outputs.
