TXU0304: Application Distance

Hi expert,

Customer would like to use TXU0304 for SPI and the SPI will be connected through a cable between a main board and a RF module board. Customer plan to place two TXU0304 one on the main board and another one on the RF module board.

May I know;

1. how to tell or what will be maximum distance TXU0404 can support for 3.3V <> 1.8V on the main board?

2. can TXU0304 used be like a buffer to support 3.3V <> 3.3V? How to tell or what will be maximum distance TXU0404 can support for 3.3V <> 3.3V?

Hi Sir,

I have check the FAQ, please check our design topology.

1. The maximum distance is 4700mil from TXU0304 (VCCA=3.3V,VCCB=1.8V) to end device (1.8V) and the SPI impedance control should be 50Ω, right ?

2. I want to know maximum distance from TXU0304 (VCCA,VCCB=3.3V) to TXU0304 (VCCA=3.3V,VCCB=1.8V) , the topology is workable ?

Hi Cooper,

1 and 2 is workable for a maximum distance going from the TXU output pin to the final destination not exceeding 4700 mil.

Also ensure below is not a concern, thanks.

Hi Cooper,

50 ohms impedance is right. If unsure, you may also use 0 ohms series resistors on the outputs to later adjust line impedances at a later time.
