SN74AVC2T45: Power Supply Tolerance

Part Number: SN74AVC2T45
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AXC2T45

Tool/software:

The device specification does not have a power supply tolerance specification. There is a table that suggests a tolerance "Pg 13" but it does not directly apply to a more general power supply tolerance specification.
Can someone define a tolerance for each power supply voltage the device is expected to operate at? If you need specifics, please supply tolerances for 1.2V and 3.3V power supplies.

  • Hi Thomas,

The device is recommended for a min of 1.2 V and a maximum of 3.6 V. Hence no concerns and can tolerate 1.2 V and 3.3 V power supplies, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.

  • This does not answer the question of power supply tolerance.
If one side is accepting 1.2V logic, it should have a 1.2V power supply for that side.

How much positive and negative variation can be tolerated before the device fails to recognize a valid 1.2V logic input signal?
    1.2VDC +-??

The same applies to all valid logic level power supplies. What is the tolerance?

  • Hi Thomas,

Thanks for clarifying. Unfortunately, devices with 1.2 V as the minimum guarantees electrical characteristics for 1.2 V without negative tolerances and anything less is not guaranteed i.e. 1.199 V is not guaranteed. If lower voltage level is needed, see SN74AXC2T45, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.
