On the reference SN74LVC4245APWR, we notice between 2 date codes, a notable difference.
There are no ESD protection diodes at VCC on the date code 2442.
These diodes are present on the date code 1731
Is this normal please?

But, given than:
- unfortunately Ioff is not present in the datasheet
-In datasheet 6.3 ESD Ratings, it is written 2000V robust for Human body model (HBM), per ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001, all pins.
All I/O must have ESD protections diode don't you think?
For pins without a clamping diode to VCC, ESD protection for positive overvoltage is implemented with (the equivalent of) Zener diodes.
very interesting Clemens, but in order not to deviate from my objective, how can I justify without ambiguity that it is normal not to have esd protection diodes on vcc, with date code 2442 while they are present on datecode 1731?Because without official documentation explaining this difference, this kind of difference can immediately make one think of counterfeiting...
PCN#20221219007.1 introduced an entirely new die. The guaranteed datasheet limits have not changed, i.e., the recommended operating conditions do not allow voltages above VCCx.
But I agree that this is a change that I would not have expected.
