CD54HC4024: CD54HC4024

Part Number: CD54HC4024
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN54HC4024, CD4024B-MIL

Tool/software:

We currently are using a DESC Standard Microcircuit Drawing part # 8602101CA (High Speed 7-stage Binary Ripple Counter) that was approved to be manufactured by Texas Instruments.

Question # 1: Can you confirm that this part has been obsoleted by Texas Instruments?

Question # 2: If yes, can you recommend what the replacement part number would be from Texas Instrument?

Question # 3: Can you explain what the differences are between Texas Instruments part numbers SN54HC4024 and CD54HC4024?

  • 1. If it is not shown on the product page, then it was discontinued.

    2. There is no exact replacement. What are your requirements? What military qualifications do you need? The CD4024B-MIL (M38510/05655BCA) would be slower.

    3. The CD device was originally made by RCA; these logic devices were acquired by Harris and later TI.
