TPSM843A22: Current sinking at EN pin of TPSM843A22RDG.

Part Number: TPSM843A22

Tool/software:

Hi,

Greetings of the day!

Does the EN pin of TPSM843A22RDG have the path to sink the current? If yes, what is the maximum sink current for EN pin?
In the schematic given below, the Signal EN_VCC_CORE is given through Pin 2 of buffer - SN74LVC07APWR.

Also the EN_VCC_CORE signal goes to the FPGA as well.
What could be the reason for current sinking?

Thank you.

  • Hello,

The device has an internal  pull up current source of about ~11.6uA sourcing when VIN is above the rising threshold. this to allow enabling the device by floating the enable pin.

Ensure that leakage current of any circuitry connected to the EN pin does not exceed the minimum EN pullup current, otherwise the device can not be able to start.

If you are using a digital control of the ENABLE function, an open-drain or open-collector output logic can be interfaced with the pin.

    Thanks

    Tahar
