TPLD1201-DGS-EVM: Power Supply Selection for Permanent Write to TPLD1201

Part Number: TPLD1201-DGS-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPLD1201

Tool/software:

I'm designing the TPLD1201 using Interconnect Studio. In order to solder it to a separate board for use, I wrote it permanently with the power supply selection to the target board. After that, I checked the operation by supplying external power from the power supply pins while the board is still plugged into the socket of the evaluation board to check the operation, but it does not work properly. When I turn on the power supply from the evaluation board, it works normally. Why is it operating with the evaluation board's power supply instead of an external power supply?

  • Hi 則一 太田,

Are you seeing issues with the device not being burned at all, or being burned incorrectly?

Is the device burned correctly, but you're seeing it not power on correctly from the external supply?

When using an external supply please make sure the below header is connected to ensure the EXT_VCC (external vcc) is making connection to the device VCC.

I'm a little confused by the problem statement here.

    Regards,

    Owen
