SN74AVC24T245: Regarding the number of bits for direction switching

Is this component one that controls 4 bits divided into 6 groups?
In section 8.1 Overview of the datasheet, it states, "The SN74AVC24T245 is a 16-bit," but is this statement incorrect?
Figure 9-1 of the datasheet appears to show controlling 6 bits divided into 6 groups. Is this figure also incorrect?

This is a 24-bit device, with six groups comprising four bits each. The overview in section 8.1 is wrong. Figure 9-1 shows four bits in each group and is correct.

Figure 9-1 also appears to be incorrect.
I will attach the relevant section of the datasheet(Rev.E) I am looking at.
Looking at the green part, there are 6 bits.

These are six groups. Each arrow represents four bits.
