Hi Team,

My customer is Roborock and now the use SN74AHCG14 for inverter gate. Their power supply is 5V and signal input voltage level is 3.3V. So sometimes the high voltage input may fail to trigger the output inverter. Could you help us figure out why the input threshold is a range and do we have some method to program this threshold level? And maybe there is a mistake in the datasheet, and we can fix it in the future. Thanks!

Hi Peng,

The specific line underlined is a typo, that should say 3.85V.

However, the range is intended. Anything above these values will still trigger the output. For example, even if your input signal is 4.5V (> 3.85) this will still trigger a high.

As for the typo, I will create a ticket and work to update this.

To be able to handle 3.3 V input signals, you need a gate with lowered input thresholds, i.e., SN74AHCT1G14.
