Hi Experts,

My customer wants to check with us about the pulse duration time that SN74LVC1G123 output, can this duration time set to longer than 1 second with external RC setting?

    Hi Remy,

    Yes, you can using a large RC. However, if you are using a long pulse duration, I recommend looking at our new TPUL devices, such as the TPUL2T323. These devices are optimized for longer pulse widths and can achieve them using smaller RC components.

    Hi Ian,

    Understood, for SN74LVC1G123, if we want to set Tout to 1 second, do we need to put a 100uF capacitor? Would this large RC brought us any potential problems?

    And for TPUL2T323, for 900ms pulse, it requires a 10uF cap, is there any method to replace this cap with a smaller cap? Such as 2.2uF cap. Customer still thinks 10uF cap is quite large in their design, resistor value can be higher.

    Hi Remy,

    For the SN74LVC1G123, you would need a large capacitor.

    For TPUL2T323, you can accomplish this with a 10 nF cap.
