SN74LVC1G126: Can I Use SN74LVC1G126 as a Buffer for PWM Between µC and Gate Driver?

Part Number: SN74LVC1G126
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC5350, , TMS320F28335, SN74LVC1G34

Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

For my hardware experiment, I intend to use SN74LVC1G126 as buffer to interface the PWM coming from TMS320F28335 (µC) with UCC5350 (gate driver). The truth table as per the datasheet for the buffer is

OE

A

Y

H

L

Z

Looking at the buffer truth table, I personally don't feel there should be any issues. However, it wouldn't hurt if TI experts can give their opinion too.

The next question that I have is related to the routing of the buffer.

Can I route the decoupling capacitor between VCC and GND as has been done in the following image (taken from the datasheet of SN74LVC1G34, page 14):

Is the connecting trace running on the same layer directly below the IC? Can I do it for SN74LVC1G126 too?

Regards,
