CD4043B: truth table issue

Hi Team,

may we ask if the truth table of these two are functionally the same? our CD4043B truth table is below, can the CD4043 truth table fully replace the ocmpetitor version? because after replaceing it with the CD4043B, the cusotmer system is reading incorrect value.

in attition, what does "dominated by S=1 input" mean for the CD4043B? does it mean that it is completely controlled by S input?

Hi Tommy,

What is the competitor version we are replacing here? Based on this truth table, I would expect the parts to behave differently - our part would be typically expected to output high when inputting 1,1 and theirs would latch.

competitor is nexperia_HEF4043B and Spec below, if the CD4043B connot be used a replacement, is there any parts that can directly replace it and p2p compatible? thanks for you support and learn from you.

let me clarify, their input should be low_nS & low_nR to be latched, that right?

Hi Tommy,

That's my mistake, I read the table incorrectly. This part should be a direct replacement for HEF4043B. When you said the customer was reading incorrect value, could you go into more detail to the specific issue?
