SN74LVC1G125: Part Reliability with negative input voltage

Part Number: SN74LVC1G125

Hi,

Thesection 7.1 says " Exposure to absolute-maximum-rated conditions for extended periods may affect device reliability."

But at the same time it says " The input and output negative-voltage ratings may be exceeded if the input and output current ratings are observed" which the current would be 2mA maximum.

How reliability will be affected if the input clamping diode is always on with 2mA ?

Do you have any data that shows how the part reliability is affected if this part has a -0.4V at 2mA maximum at its input all the time?

Thanks,

Luc
