Hi all,
I am looking for a cheap buffer chip to run Omron G5LA 5V relays, which take ~75 mA on a coil.
Based on my searches, i have found that this is within the absolute maximum (128mA) but not the recommended (64mA) specs for the SN74F126 chip, which is easily available where i live.
I would like to know
1) How many relays can i drive with one buffer chip? i believe there is always a maximum limit on the current in/out of the GND/VCC pins. I do not want to kill the chip because the GND line melted.
2) Will operating out of recommended specs kill the chip much faster than usual?
Thanks
