TMS320C6415 to pci connector through SN74CBT16211A

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74CBT16211A, TMS320C6415

Hi guys, I need your help ASAP, since I am already in layout stage. I connect TMS320C6415 to pci connector through SN74CBT16211A bus switch in order not to damage the DSP processor when I connect it to 5V I/O environment. Doing that I violate the PCI spec. line lengths. I mean the clock line is not 2.5 inches long and the AD lines are longer then 1.5 Inches since they go through the bus switch. (I use 33 MHZ - 32 bit PCI spec). 1. How SN74CBT16211A will affect the line lengths? 2. Is the line length is important for the non terminated bus architecture? 3. Can you think of Ideas?

Thanks!!!

Happy Holidays!!!

I am not at all familier with PCI specs but the CBT device will isolate the TMS device during conection. however once the switch is enabled the TMS will see the line length on both sides of the CBT. I think you will still be OK but I would  find someone who has done this before.   You might post this in the interface forum and see if you can get a PCI expert.
