Hi,

I'm looking for a level translator that can convert an RGMII interface running at 125MHz from 3.3V to 1.5/1.8V in HSTL single ended forms.

Does SN74AUC245 have operating experience in RGMII interface ? please let me know how to terminate in HSTL single ended forms. I would like to improve signal quality for transmission loss.

    Hi Kato,
    I'm afraid I am unfamiliar with RGMII and HSTL. Can you break that down into signal direction, voltage, current, and resistance?
    If you are looking for down-translation only, the AUC245 would work -- ie Vcc can be set to 1.5 or 1.8V and the inputs can be up to 3.6V with no problems. If you also need up-translation, another part might be better such as something in our TXS or TXB line -- I would have to defer to the experts in that area.
