I have 5 switches.
In order to save IO's, I want to encode these 5 switches as BCD.
It seemed such a simple task?
I am going to love the responses I get.

I don't know why you're struggling either. The product search finds several ones.
Usually , the obsolete part will have its equivalent or replacement part mentioned in the product folder .
If it is one of TI competitor part , you can also make use of the cross reference search tool which provides recommendations of TI parts as well .
Hi Clemens
Thank you. I knew there had to be a chip (s). I had not uised the Product Search (which is impractical on a phone), but as I pointed out in another message, a search for bcd encoder brings up too narrowly refined search results to reveal exactly what I was looking for, but you also provided an answer to me, for this I am appreciative.
