I believe that is the only option we have for an 8-input NOR/OR gate in a single package. Are you using the NOR or OR function or both? Would you be ok with using two packages, i.e. a dual 4-input OR feeding into a 2-input NOR to create an 8-input NOR?

Hello Aozer,

The product is in market for 10 years and product will become obselete in 2020.

At this moment it is not possible to implement any change in the product.

We are using both NOR and OR function in the circuit.

The part is used in multiple PCBA in different PCBA's.

Noway I can now intiate a change. Do you have a CD4078B high speed version in same 14SOIC package in same pitch.

No. The CD4078B was a specialty made by Harris; TI still produces it to support existing customers, but I guess there is not enough demand for this function to be provided in a modern logic family.

At this moment it is not possible to implement any change in the product.

Our product is more than10 year old product but still with market demand. In our product we are using ST Micro M74HC4078RM13TR NAND/NOR Logic gate which is now obselete.

I am looking for a alternate part for the M74HC4078RM13TR in Digikey from where I identified CD4078B as alternate part for M74HC4078RM13TR.

Later on datasheet comparison I identified CD4078B is Medium speed device while M74HC4078RM13TR is a high speed device,

So I was checking for a high speed version of CD4078B in same footprint.

As Ti part are mostly used in Schnieder product it will be helpful if I can get a alternate part for Ti.

As far as I can see, the CD4078B is the only such device that is still made, from any manufacturer. So you'll have to manage with it.
Do you know the actual minimum speed that your circuit needs?

Clemens is correct, I am afraid we do not have a direct replacement with a high speed version. If updating the design is out of the question then we do not have any parts that I could recommend, especially if you require both the NOR and OR function. The only possibilities we have would require multiple IC's to accomplish the same task.
